The oral–systemic axis, finally measurable in longevity practice.
A multi-domain biological-age framework that adds the mouth to the measurement set — and a pre-specified validation protocol any longevity clinic can run.
Longevity medicine measures blood, epigenetics, and wearables. It does not yet measure the oral cavity — the most accessible inflammatory compartment in the body. That is the gap Praxiom closes.
01What it is
Praxiom integrates an Oral Health Score — built from salivary biomarkers including aMMP-8, IL-1β, IL-8 and oral microbiome composition — alongside the systemic, cardiovascular and fitness domains already used in longevity care, into a single Personal Health Index with a derived biological-age estimate.
The method is covered by US Provisional Patent 64/037,261 and is implemented in a clinical application available in English and Arabic, with an AI lab-report scanner that reads biomarker values from test reports in any language.
02Why it matters clinically
- CardiovascularSalivary aMMP-8 predicts periodontal–cardiovascular risk; P. gingivalis is mechanistically linked to atrial fibrosis (Hiroshima, 2025).
- NeurodegenerativeOral microbiome composition correlates with cognition and cortical thickness (Hamburg City Health Study, 2025).
- Metabolic & inflammagingPeriodontal therapy lowers systemic hs-CRP by 30–40% — the oral cavity is a modifiable intervention site, not just a marker.
- Recognised by the fieldDunedinPACE v3.0 (2025) now incorporates periodontal attachment loss as a multi-organ aging parameter.
03The validation protocol
A pre-specified prospective protocol, ready for OSF / ClinicalTrials.gov registration, implementable by any longevity clinic with saliva collection and standard blood panels.
The framework is in active development. Individual biomarkers are supported by published evidence; the composite has not yet been externally validated. A pilot is currently running at the founder’s Munich practice. This protocol is designed to provide the first external validation — and is an open invitation to collaborate.
04Who’s behind it
Dr. med. stom Costin Marinescu, D.D.S. — specialist in advanced restorative and preventive dentistry, Munich. Founder of Praxiom Life 2.0. Member, Healthy Longevity Medicine Society.
Praxiom is built by a practising clinician who sees the oral–systemic connection in patients every day — not a software company looking for a medical use case.
